One of our customers first engaged with us because Alarm Floods in his Steam plant were so numerous and so severe that the Operator Alarm systems were unusable even after several previous attempts to rationalize them with traditional methods.
The plant had several gas-fired boilers and was designed to meet variable demands for steam from other process units.
Operating without Operator Alarms is the plant equivalent of ‘flying by the seat of the operators pants’ or of ‘flying blind’ in prolonged disturbances and is definitely not to be tolerated.
Our client had us on-site for a couple of weeks helping him re-set his Operator alarms multi-variably, which made them consisent, and teaching him how to continue the procedure himself and apply to the other units on the site. His operating problems shrank dramatically. He and his Process Operators were very pleased with the transformation to their Operating Environment.
Then two years later his Head Office visited asking why the site as a whole was out-performing all of its sister plants measured by KPI’s and other business measurements such as energy usage, product quality and emissions. The conclusion reached was that it was due to the Operators being able to Operate Better thanks to having trustworthy alarms to guide them.
We were very pleased when they rolled out our software products to several other plants in their network.
This webinar will show you how you can do it too! Its much faster and less labor-intensive than the one-at-a-time method you have been using so your project costs will be lower too.
